This week was pretty uneventful…or maybe it wasn’t.
While chatting with our Boondocker’s Welcome hosts on Saturday night, we found out that they go to a church nearby. So Sunday morning we woke up and headed to their church before heading back to the camper to pack up to leave.
We have friends from the Dallas area that moved to Oklahoma. They had always said that their driveway was really long and that there was plenty of room for us if we ever made it that way. So we thought this would be a perfect stop on our way towards Albuquerque for the balloon fiesta rally at the end of the month.
We pulled in Sunday afternoon and there was definitely plenty of space for us. Of course, I didn’t get any pictures.
We got to have dinner with them and chat while the kids all played. Peyton was super excited to have someone to play with. Their son rides dirt bikes, so he taught Peyton how to ride his dirt bike.
It’s too bad that their family AND most of us ended up sick by Tuesday. Turns out that their family tested positive for Covid (not sure that we had it since we all got sick at the same time, ours wasn’t as severe, and we think we had Covid earlier this year).
Brent already had an appointment in the Dallas area to have some maintenance work done on our RV roof and the kids and I were supposed to stay with them while he took the RV to Dallas midweek. But with their family down and out with Covid, we just decided it was probably best if we all went to Dallas. I know I wouldn’t want people in my house if I was sick.
Once we got to the Dallas area, we pulled into the parking lot of the RV repair shop and slept in the RV overnight. Once the work was done the next day, we set up the RV in the parking lot at our home church there. On Saturday, we hooked up and made our way to Lubbock for an overnight stop.
Our week was so uneventful that I don’t have any pictures to share. Maybe it’s just because we had so much other non-glamorous stuff going on. But when we get to the balloon fiesta, it’ll be picture overload!
